I stopped using my Supernote.

No, I am not lysing. As much as I love my Supernote A6X nad have been using them for almost 3 years, I have completely stopped using it.

The main reason: I have figured out the art of physical notebook and their benefit now outweigh the downside of e-notes.

My main annoyance of the e-note is the speed of page-flipping. They woek well enough during writing, but to flip around to find information is annoying. Of course, the Supernote provide various tools to find information, but I considered page flipping to be the essential procedure of a notebook.

The other annoyance is probably my fault but I tend to over-organise my notebooks and folders, leaving me wonder if I accidentally jot down information in the wrong notebook.

That said, I still felt that the benefit of using e-note still outweigh the downsides as I used to struggle a lot with physical notebooks.

Two main events changed my view.

The first event was when my e-note device ,the Supernote, froze for about a week. I realised that electronics device may go bad at any moment. I really had problem because my calendar was solely on that device.

So I tried paper planner again during that week, and they stuck with me. I detailed about there in this blog post.

The second event was when I discovered commonplaces.. The system allow me to easil organise my notebooks.

With the aforementioned problem solved, I am currently happy with my paper notebooks. So much so that I find myself not touching my Supernote device in months.

Hence, I stopped using Supernote.

Addendum

I have 5 notebooks on my desk right now (not including my diary.): My generic personal note, general work note, personal project note, and 2 for work. I am pretty happy with the current setup.
